Suppliers No Longer Dump Goods at Low Prices, Spot Premiums Center Surge Significantly [SMM North China Spot Copper]

SMM January 2 News: Today, spot copper in North China was quoted at a discount of 140 yuan/mt to 60 yuan/mt against the front-month contract, with an average discount of 100 yuan/mt, up by 270 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. Transaction prices ranged from 73,140 to 73,340 yuan/mt, with an average price of 73,240 yuan/mt, down by 200 yuan/mt from the previous trading day. On the first trading day of 2025, as upstream producers had passed the settlement period, there were no low-priced cargoes in the market.
